Journey ("Journey-HVAC," "we," "us"), operated by VentexIQ Inc., is a field-service platform for HVAC contractors. This policy explains how we collect and use information when you contact us, request a demo, sign up, or communicate with us during and after our sales process.

Information we collect

When you request information, start a sign-up, or communicate with us, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, and the details you provide about your business. We use this information to respond to you, set up and support your account, and communicate with you about our products and your service with us.

How we use your information

We use your contact information to answer your questions, schedule and confirm demos and calls, guide account setup and onboarding, send account and support updates, and otherwise communicate with you about the services you requested.

Text message (SMS) communications

Journey offers an SMS program so we can communicate with you during and after the sales process. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Journey (Journey-HVAC), operated by VentexIQ Inc.

Message types: demo and appointment scheduling and reminders, account setup and onboarding, account and support updates, and replies to your inquiries.
Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your activity with us.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
How you opt in: you opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts — for example, by checking the consent box on our sign-up or contact forms, or by giving your number to our team. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
How to opt out: reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages unless you re-subscribe. You may also reply OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your mobile information is never shared for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number, your SMS opt-in, or your consent to any third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:

With service providers who help us operate — for example, our payment processor, our email-delivery provider, and our text-messaging provider — strictly so they can perform those services for us, under confidentiality obligations and not for their own marketing.
When required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are expressly excluded from all sharing and are used only to deliver the messages you requested.

Data retention

We retain contact and account information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and maintain business records.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Children's privacy

Our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
